Manifestations of school bullying in secondary schools A study on a sample of high school students
Abstract
The current research deals with an important issue related to the phenomenon of school bullying in secondary schools. There is a disparity in circumstances and abuse of power by the aggressor towards the victim, as she cannot, due to different circumstances, get out of this situation by her means. For this reason, when we talk about harassment, abuse, or bullying, the personality of third parties such as bystanders, teachers, or family members, takes on great importance to be able to end these situations. Thus, to the characteristics of long-standing cases of abuse or harassment. The current research aims to identify the concept of bullying, the causes of the spread of bullying, the types of bullying, in addition to addressing the factors involved in bullying. The researcher relied on the descriptive, analytical, and statistical approach to describe the phenomenon of school bullying in secondary stages and to know what types of bullying and the reasons for its spread in schools among students in large numbers and what solutions help us in treating this phenomenon, as this approach is based on collecting data, information, and opinions that work to characterize the phenomenon Which is the subject of the study a comprehensive description, including the factors and changes affecting and affected by them.
The results of the study confirmed that the guide does not contribute to reducing the manifestations of school bullying, in addition to that, bullying affects academic achievement, and that the bully threatens his colleagues for trivial reasons. The study concluded with a set of recommendations that emphasize the need to pay attention to this phenomenon and try to eliminate it.
Introduction to the study:
In recent years, it has been observed that the phenomenon of bullying has increased dramatically for children, and the spread of globalization is the reason leading to this, in addition to the Western invasion and the influence of the media, and this phenomenon is spread in all countries alike, not in a particular country or group.
One of the most common problems among students in schools is the phenomenon of school bullying, and its repercussions on it have a bad effect on pupils, which may lead to depression, and it may lead to suicide, hate school, unwillingness to go to it, escape and resort to other places, and this can cause students to be exposed. Risk; Therefore, a campaign was launched against bullying in most countries in agreement with UNICEF and civil society sites and organizations.
Civil society organizations and specialized bodies seek to eliminate bullying in general and the problem of school bullying in particular because it is one of the biggest academic problems that students face, especially children, and some countries have provided a specific number to receive any problems about bullying and to direct parents or students how to deal with such problems and how to develop appropriate solutions to that.
The reason behind the emergence and spread of bullying in current societies is due to many reasons, some of which may be exposed to other social phenomena. The person who is bullying is the same person who was exposed to bullying by another person, such as if a young man practices bullying another in his adolescence and so on.
Psychologists have interpreted the phenomenon of bullying as a disorder in behavior that is due to the bully's suffering from some psychological pressures that make him rebel against reality and shout aggressively to register his objection to the reality in which he lives or as a reaction and self-expression, and some attribute the reason behind the bullying is the bully's desire to attract the attention of others and enjoy In exercising power and bullying the other.

The phenomenon of bullying is one of the most prevalent phenomena at the regional, local and global levels, and many studies have proven its prevalence, however, this problem did not receive sufficient scientific attention in Bahrain, so the researcher was keen to conduct an exploratory study among high school students to seek to answer the following questions :
- What is the level of bullying and violence in secondary schools?
- How common is bullying among teenage girls?
- What is the impact of bullying on Bahraini society?
- What is the effect of bullying on female students?
